Aluminum
Aluminum is a premium material used in the manufacturing of gates, fences and railings. Its popularity in residential and commercial applications has increased exponentially over the past decade as it offers the beauty and elegance of wrought iron whilst enjoying the benefits of aluminum (low-cost, corrosion-resistance, lightweight).
At Sinco Gates, we use heavy grade aluminum raw material in all our products to ensure its strength and durability.
Advantages of Aluminum:
- Attractive: Aluminum is elegant and comes in various designs and styles that will beautify the property lines while providing the security
- Low Cost: Aluminum is cheaper than both steel and stainless steel because it is readily available and costs less to manufacture and handle
- Low-Maintenance: Aluminum does not rust, corrode or fade and is easy to clean and maintain
- Durable: Aluminum can withstand extreme weather conditions
- Flexibility: Aluminum can be used on flat or sloped land and can be used in various applications such as fencing a yard, barricading a swimming pool, and railings of decks and porches
- Environmental Friendly: Aluminum is a recyclable material with relatively low energy cost
Steel/Iron
Steel/Iron is a heavy-duty material used in the manufacturing of gates, fences and railings. It is mostly used where excessive strength and high security are of upmost importance, or excessive wear and tear is anticipated, or the traditional look and decorative design is desirable.
At Sinco Gates, our expert craftsmen are specialized in the manufacturing of exquisitely ornate gates, fences and railings, shaped in just about any way you could possibly imagine.
Advantages of Steel:
- Strength: Steel is the ideal material to use when strength and security is the top priority
- Durable: Steel will last for a lifetime but will require occasional maintenance
- Design: Steel can be shaped in just about any way desirable, making it ideal for exquisitely ornate gates, fences and railings

Steel gates and fences are our area of expertise, and we recommend them to our clients due to their toughness and durability. Although steel is considerably stronger and more durable than aluminum, which is popular and maybe a wonderful solution to prevent corrosion because of its lightweight. Aluminum gates and fences won't survive nearly as long as steel gates coated with a powder coating or a galvanised undercoat.
Sinco Gates – A Leader in Custom Aluminum Gates
At Sinco Gates, we use heavy grade aluminum raw material in all our custom aluminum fence gates to ensure their strength and durability.
All our custom aluminum fence gates undergo a hot dipping process, known as galvanisation. Molten zinc that coats the inside and exterior of the steel tubes is used to dip the metal. The metal goes through a 12-step procedure that is far more effective than coating the steel at preventing rust.
The gates we manufacture undergo more than justifyhot dip galvanization. We add a protective powder coating to them as well. The coating is smooth and long-lasting since it is applied electrostatically and chemically cross-linked. This powder coating is identical to that used in the building and automobile industries. We only use solvent-free, environmentally friendly powder coating products that do not harm the environment.

A steel gate is a better option for fencing and gates as compared to an aluminum fence gate because it is weightier, and it withstands impact better. The gates are usually lightweight enough to be handled by two people, and we can usually install them without the aid of machinery.

When choosing residential aluminum fence and gate is a good choice
For fences and gates, aluminum can occasionally be chosen over steel. Since shipping and installation fees for aluminum can be less expensive than those for steel, that is primarily when you want to save money. Aluminum can be the greatest option for you if cost is your main concern. You must account for all the extras required to buy and install the gate. Don't forget to account for expenses like gate transportation. We make sure that the delivery costs to our customers are always at a cost.
If you decide to use custom aluminum fence gates, make sure they have powder coating because they won't hold up well in a moist environment. After all, you don't want your gate to corrode with time. Rust-oleum may also be applied to the gate to maintain its finish; this is frequently required for aluminum gates without powered finishes.
